Insides

Going through my new Seagull bag (with a patch I may or may not sew on it) looking for something and realizing how seriously great the collection of stuff I keep in it at all times is (plus one or two things from the other night)
- travel water bowl and bag for Graeme
- seafoam and glitter polish, passionflower tincture, lip salve
- knife, SOG multi-tool, corkscrew/bottle opener
- socks and underwear, glasses
- wallet, book of the day
- day journal, notebook
- really awesome unicorn and leopard bandanas, coast carolina playing cards
- cream cardigan because that’s really useful in north carolina summers?
yesterday was basically stereotypical summer pushed into twelve hours- porch watermelon, dog sitting, lingering in the art galleries for AC, secret quarry dusk swimming, rock jumping, kissing, music playing, punk burrito night
Photobooth and a sleepy dog inspired by Marta. Undocumented hanging out takes up half of every day. Graeme is a dachshund and yellow lab mix who has owned me since November 6, 2010, the day I both began and failed at fostering. He was a six week old puppy then. It’s been one and a half years, during which time he’s seen me through a lot of major changes. Hopelessly in love. If you have more recommendations for his joke butnotreallyajoke punk vest, send them my way.

Angels of Light - Untitled Love Song
we went to the food lion and there was a cop sitting on a motorized grocery cart asleep and it was funny and cool story bro

this week
- printmaking class (every Thursday)
- free coffeehouse items for the next month
- running the Duke Forest trails
- learned some songs on guitar/my arms are killing me
- march against fracking went well
- I’m being given this guitar for free from an old housemate who doesn’t use it anymore which is one of the nicest things that’s happened in a long time and he’s shipping it this week. AND IT’S MY FAVORITE COLOR
- we decided on three things: June 2nd: grill out party at our house, hoping for water games and using the bedroom as a place for people to play board games if they want to get away from large crowds
June 10: trip to Richmond/King’s Dominion (Chris C if you see this you should join us)
June 12: Baltimore/DC - Many hang outs — long walks, birthdays, dances, swapping stories and by that I mean over-analyzing ourselves/surroundings/everyone for hours on the porch. A general outpouring of enriching exchanges and sweetness.
These days are real charming and soft and important and have been crested by creative ways of having fun. Stillness and spontaneity, and their combining, is really characteristic of me. But my reckless side is creeping. I haven’t been destructive in way too long.
